💐 | So many players deserve their flowers after last night… Two massive saves from Jordan Pickford when the tide could have turned. Declan Rice booked after a minute and then proceeded to not put another foot wrong all night. Shift. Anthony Gordon’s relentless running caused them all kinds of issues and won the penalty that was ultimately the difference. That lad who got done by him on the byline, by the way. My word. What’s Spanish for “sent for a hotdog?” There might be a headache at right-back but no such issues on the left. Young Nico O’Reilly was absolutely unreal again. Lads off the bench did well too. Went to bed dreaming of THAT Djed Spence tackle. Genuinely believe Dan Burn would head away a breeze block if he had to. That’s before you get to the headline makers. Two goals in as many minutes for Jude Bellingham. That’s five World Cup goals now, only Lineker and Kane have more. Lad’s only 23 for god’s sake. And Harry Kane, what a man you are. Another assist. Another goal. It’s just what he does. Relentless consistency. Best player in the world, surely? Even if he did sound like Mickey Mouse in his post-match interview. Thomas Tuchel got his gameplan spot on and his in-game management was brilliant. Proper gaffer. No doubt we’ll have another week of hearing all the reasons why we apparently can’t win on Saturday. Sod that. There’s something special about this team.

Fair play to Jordan Henderson, got booked without even coming onto the field and then injured himself celebrating the win, incredible performance without seeing a minute of football 👏

If the altitude was really an issue can't understand why they've brought on Dan Burn.

All those lads doing 5ks around the Azteca and saying how England would struggle failed to consider the major factor of Jude Bellingham being absolutely mint.

England started slowly at the last major tournament, narrowly overcoming a poor Serbia side before being held to a goalless draw by Slovenia. Then, they brought Kobbie Mainoo into the starting XI. The Man Utd man complimented Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham perfectly, averaging over four defensive contributions per game as the Three Lions beat Slovakia, Switzerland and the Netherlands to reach the final. With England looking vulnerable at the back and Declan Rice potentially needed at RB, is it time to free Kobbie?

You know what, it might have been worth two hours of some of the worst football we've ever seen to watch Germany go out in a penalty shootout for the first time in World Cup history... 😂

Manuel Neuer at this World Cup reminds us of when the 50 year old bloke at your five-a-side reluctantly goes in net and he'll save anything that comes straight at him but as soon as it's mildly out of reach he'll just watch it roll past him and blame the nearest CB...

In the same way we refer to certain skill moves as the Ronaldo chop and the McGeady spin, we should start referring to hooking an opposition player's leg after he goes past you too easily as the Casemiro Crop from this point forward...
