Unraveling Moment

The Detroit Tigers organization should be ashamed of themselves.
They let this happen. They let a woman get walked out of Comerica Park like she was the problem — all because she wore a hoodie that said JESUS OVER Pride. While the broadcast cameras rolled and the crowd sat there, they chose the side of the complainers. They chose the side that gets offended when someone dares to put Christ above the rainbow.
This ain’t about one lady standing up in her seat. This is about an organization that’s decided which sins are acceptable to celebrate inside their ballpark and which ones get you escorted out by Detroit police. They hid behind “fan code of conduct” and “disruptive behavior” while refusing to release the full footage that would show exactly how many warnings she actually got — or didn’t get.
They let the complaints of the offended carry more weight than a woman’s right to wear her faith on her chest.
It’s Sodom and Gomorrah days all over again. Pride parading itself as something to be proud of while the Name above every name gets treated like it’s the one causing trouble. They opened the gates to one message and slammed the door on the other. And they did it with a straight face, like this was just another routine ejection.
Here’s the truth they don’t want to hear: everybody’s got free will.
The woman had the freedom to wear that shirt. The complainers had the freedom to be offended. The Tigers staff had the freedom to listen to those complaints and act on them. And the organization had the freedom to decide whose comfort mattered more.
But free will is our daily cross, just like I’ve written. You get to choose. You get to behave however you want inside that stadium or outside of it. You can cheer for Pride Night. You can wear whatever rainbow gear they sell. You can complain when somebody puts Jesus first. You can even be the one who calls security.
Just know this — one day every single one of those choices gets laid bare. No more hiding behind “we received complaints.” No more “it was her behavior, not the shirt.” No more pretending the organization didn’t pick a side. God sees the heart. He sees what was really behind the decision to walk that woman out while the cameras were rolling. And He’s not impressed by ballpark policies that protect one kind of pride while punishing another.
Detroit Tigers organization — you should be ashamed of yourselves.
You had a chance to stand for something bigger than ticket sales and corporate feelings. Instead you chose the easy path. The path that looks the other way when Christ is the one being pushed out of the picture.
Free will. Use it wisely. Because the cross you’re choosing to carry — or to trample — is going to matter when the lights go out for good.
