Veena, our daughter, Veena’s sister & family, and I had a great time celebrating the 4th of July at the Greybrooke parade in McCandless. Veena grew up in Greybrooke, and this has become a family tradition. Hope that everyone enjoyed celebrating our nation’s 250th birthday!

I was both relieved that the Supreme Court affirmed birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment and disheartened that the decision wasn't unanimous. Immigrants are the only source of population growth in PA and advance our state in all walks of life.

Today is the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, an important moment in the history of the LGBTQ Community. This act of resistance against discrimination marked the beginning of the LGBTQ Rights Movement as we know it today and directly led to the annual celebration of Pride.
