We’ll be joined by council representatives, veterans, serving personnel, including the 37 Signal Regiment and local cadets as we pay tribute to those who serve and have served our country.

In this week’s Leader’s Update Cllr @KamRai7 commemorates Zara Aleena, as today marks four years since her horrific murder. A silent vigil will take place in Valentines Park tomorrow, 1.30pm. Those attending are encouraged to wear white.

Leader @KamRai7 has shared an update on the fire at Memorial Heights, Newbury Park. The situation is now under control and emergency services remain on site.
Residents have been supported, with temporary accommodation arranged where needed.
🚨Update
Damage to the building and columns so evacuation required, we have stood up a rest centre, including transport, and housing services will support residents.
A Dangerous Structure Engineer has been deployed for an assessment.

Fire tonight on Monarch Way Newbury Park, please avoid the area. The block has been evacuated as the basement fire is being tackled. No injuries reported.
Redbridge emergency response are in contact with the police and fire service and an officer is on way to provide support.
