Mr.President Trump,
There has been no regime change in Islamic Republic —only a change of faces.
The faces may be new, but the ideology remains the same.
On July 6, a banner reportedly displayed in Tehran read:
“Kill them both like dogs and receive 100 plots of land, each measuring 200 square meters, as a reward.”
By “both,” it referred to President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu.
During Ali Khamenei’s funeral ceremonies, mourners chanted “Death to America,” while public and explicitly authorised calls were made for President Trump to be killed.
This is not moderation.
This is not reform.
It is the same regime, driven by the same violent ideology.
The Islamic Republic has once again demonstrated that it cannot be reformed.
A free and democratic Iran is essential to achieving genuine and lasting peace in the Middle East.
Stand with the people of Iran.
