Reflecting pool today. The amount of algae on the bottom has been drastically reduced. Also noticed the valves were open and new water was being pumped in.

A trail of destruction and death on the Taft Bridge yesterday. US Park Police confirmed one person was killed in the pursuit of a stolen vehicle.

It looks like the scooter driver, who was travelling northbound in their lane, was struck by a fleeing vehicle that crossed over and hit them directly head-on. A medevac helicopter landed, but returned to base and a tarp was placed over something on the bridge.

Carnage following a U.S. Park Police high speed chase through Woodley Park by the Zoo. One motor scooter hit head on on the Taft Bridge. Unconfirmed if driver airlifted to hospital but helicopter did land on bridge. Three suspect in custody in front of Chinese Embassy Diplomatic residence after hitting Chinese Diplomatic vehicle. 4th suspect ran off on foot. Second vehicle in pursuit also fled the scene.
