The best hire I ever made was a 12 year old kid from LA.
His name is Eric Pham.
He was making Fortnite montages in his bedroom.
There was something special about him… the way he commanded the room and talked to a to camera was, different.
He was funny.
He was charismatic.
He wasn't afraid to be himself.
He just had “it”.
Most people would've scrolled right past him.
In 2019 I met
@phamilys, quickly saw the potential he had and wanted to help.
I then picked him up to my gaming startup
@DevourTalent.
A two years later he was at 100K subs.
Now, he has hundreds of millions of views to his name.
He's gone on to build massive channels outside of gaming, and is now the CMO of one of the fastest growing companies in creator tech (Viewmax with
@NotLucFN).
Everyone waits for the numbers to tell them someone's talented.
By then it's too late.
The best talent doesn't look like talent yet.
It looks like a chubby kid in his bedroom with a ring light and 926 subscribers.
