7 years later, he’s still got it @phamilys
The best hire I ever made was a 12 year old kid from LA. His name is Eric Pham. He was making Fortnite montages in his bedroom. There was something special about him… the way he commanded the room and talked to a to camera was, different. He was funny. He was charismatic. He wasn't afraid to be himself. He just had “it”. Most people would've scrolled right past him. In 2019 I met @phamilys, quickly saw the potential he had and wanted to help. I then picked him up to my gaming startup @DevourTalent. A two years later he was at 100K subs. Now, he has hundreds of millions of views to his name. He's gone on to build massive channels outside of gaming, and is now the CMO of one of the fastest growing companies in creator tech (Viewmax with @NotLucFN). Everyone waits for the numbers to tell them someone's talented. By then it's too late. The best talent doesn't look like talent yet. It looks like a chubby kid in his bedroom with a ring light and 926 subscribers.

the traits every cracked person on my team shares: > zero formal training in what they do best > taught themselves on YouTube and Discord servers > can't explain their process but the output is insane > would get filtered out by any normal hiring process > slightly unhinged work ethic HR would reject every single one of them thats why we don't use HR

Shown is now 100 people across 40 countries… Problem: We need more cracked ppl. The best in the world. Solution: I hire you The roles we need filled right now: > Creative Director (directing viral launch videos) > Graphic Designer (making UI/graphics for our videos) > Motion Designers (animating graphics that get millions of views) > UGC Engineer (managing an army of 100s of UGC creators) and soooo many more Here’s what you’d get: - You’d work directly with CEOs of billion dollar companies, you get full ownership in your work, and you’ll leave with 100M views on your videos. - You’ll be a part of the biggest tech launches on the planet. - You’ll do the best and most fun work you’ve ever done. - If you think you’d be a good fit for us - DM me a one paragraph pitch of what you’re good at. (I’ve hired 3 ppl this way in the past month) Know someone good? Refer them and I’ll send you up to $5,000 if we hire them.

This is what Siri should’ve been. An agentic keyboard is wild…
The last major keyboard moment was in 2007, when Apple put the keyboard on glass. Nearly 20 years later, we're introducing: Acti @openacti1, the Agentic Keyboard. Not another AI keyboard that fixes grammar. Not another voice keyboard that types faster. An invisible agent in every text field. It doesn't predict your next word. It takes your next action. 👇

I see a few posts a week of people directly regurgitating my writing on LinkedIn, X threads, articles, etc Most people don’t know what they’re actually doing: they’re following checklists and have never made content before. We’ve taken the opposite approach and hired ppl who are the best in the world at what they do. They’ve worked on some of the biggest videos on the internet and have done billions of views (10B ). That’s the type of person who can actually make viral content. Be careful out there.

I just turned 24 and my resume reads like a random event generator > started a gaming org from Instagram DMs > won an Emmy before I could rent a car > now I run a 100 person agency that makes tech companies go viral Literally impossible to predict I still don't know what i want to be when I grow up. I just keep trying to have fun.

Your biggest threat in business is a former pro gamer. They’ve been grinding 20 hour days since middle school and know how to perform when everything is on the line. They win.

I ran my first company through Twitter group chats. We had hundreds of creators doing millions of views monthly. I was 17. You can just do things.
