Our Codey robot (from Mind Children etc.) in GeekWire --- we are aiming at education, healthcare and hospitality sectors, but also aiming to mature this as a robot platform for experimentation with early-stage social/emotional AGI systems... figuring the best way to get AGI to relate deeply and richly with human culture is to embed it in ethically positive and multifacetedly creative aspects of the everyday human world, not just the online world... @MindChildren_AI @SingularityNET @ASI_Alliance

When people think of humanoid robots, they usually picture two extremes: metallic industrial machines or hyper-realistic androids. We intentionally chose a third path for our robot, Codey. He is child-sized to make him approachable in social environments. His face uses digital displays for eyes under clear dome lenses instead of trying to mimic real human skin, allowing him to maintain eye contact and convey emotions without triggering the uncanny valley response.
