My understanding is that there was a strong smell of Tiger Balm in the locker room and the commission asked Matt to shower and to wipe him down which they did thoroughly. Matt cooperated. They said they checked his gloves and body at the ring and said they found no trace of it and allowed the fight to take place. They believe the ref made the wrong call in ruling it a NC and it should have gone to the scorecards at that point where Matt was unanimously ahead. Misfits have no say in any ruling just fyi.

Excellent thread and very OP. The two highest selling PPVs of the year so far have come from Misfits last night and in 2nd place, the first MF Pro PPV, Chisora v Wilder. If sold out arenas and big ppv numbers is what being dead looks like, please keep killing us!

.@MisfitsBoxing getting a lot of shit again from the “purists” because @DAZNBoxing covered it from socials rather than @DAZNCombat. But let’s be honest, a lot of this criticism isn’t really about safety, matchmaking or “respecting boxing”. It’s about the fact Misfits is working.
