I forgot to show y'all this back in New Madrid, MO. This cool Hernando de Soto artifact was unearthed and dates back to the 1500s. Today it nonchalantly hangs on a wall next to a thermostat and a placard that explains how the first Catholic mass in North America occurred here.

The most extreme gas prices I've seen on this trip were just a few miles from each other.... from 4.24 in eastern Illinois to 2.49 in western Indiana. But what Indiana saved me in gas, I gave back to it in that parking garage in Indianapolis yesterday. 🤷🏾

Please pray for my uncle Greg who is currently in ICU in Atlanta fighting for his life with serious health issues. As you may know, my dad died in 2017 and Greg is Nana's only other child. He's pictured here (middle) at Nana's 100th birthday celebration a year ago. Thank you.

Pretty wild to think that a state containing one of the largest cities in America (Chicago) also contains vast swaths of rural beauty like this. Southern Illinois is lovely.

This morning, just before I left my Cape Girardeau hotel room for the last time, I noticed I could see 3 or 4 of the hundreds of painted pictures painted on the flood wall along the Mississippi River. The one I can see clearest is El Rushbo himself, Rush Limbaugh. Ha! Awesome.
