"Northrop Grumman to Demonstrate Space-Based Interceptor Capabilities with Apex for U.S. Space Force" Today, @Apex_Satellites steps into a whole new arena. Golden Dome's Space-Based Interceptors (SBI) are the critical layer that protects all of us from utter devastation. Looking at the events in the Middle East and Ukraine in recent months, it is obvious how mission-critical this system is. The SBI constellation is the key asset to keep our citizens, warfighters, and allies out of harm's way. Today's partnership announcement with @northropgrumman is a momentous moment for Apex. Northrop is the leading space defense company, and their decision to partner with Apex was not taken lightly. Apex enables the Northrop Apex team to pull off exactly what we built Apex to do: leverage productized spacecraft platforms, combine them with the world's best payloads and mission enablement, and protect our citizens and warfighters. Apex provides a clear set of advantages to our partners: * Speed - our production line of productized buses is delivering at scale, with bus deliveries available in as short as weeks (and soon days!). * Affordability - we don't charge NRE or play games with our customers. Buy a satellite on the website at the price you see with Apple Pay. * Quality - our systems work: as the only "new space" company to have 2 years of continuous flight heritage, with customers still using their payloads on a daily basis (and much more heritage to come later this year). Now comes the hard part - continued execution. Building on the back of Project Shadow, our self-funded space-based interceptor host-vehicle demonstration launching this summer, we feel confident that bringing the absolute best of Northrop Grumman and Apex together will allow America to field a massive constellation that lets all of us sleep safer every night. Back to work. news.northropgrumman.com/sbi…

Love having @cantos on our cap table!
We have two exciting announcements today as Cantos turns 10… First, we closed our new fund earlier this year. Canto IV is a $70M fund purpose-built to lead pre-seed and seed rounds. We oversubscribed, wanting to keep it right-sized for being a founder's most aligned first partner. Second, we launched our new look with help from our friends at @asimov_co! Cantos is so-named as an ode to epic poems, where grand stories are written in "cantos" rather than chapters. We view founders as the protagonists of today's epics and seek to back those whose deeds become the stuff of legend. Our new website is a testament to the scale of their ambitions, with visions from a future they will have shaped. Resonat in Æternum 🖋️

.@IanCinnamon started as @markpinc's tech assistant: "Ian was a star recruit." Ian was put on the Poker team, but within 1-2 quarters, they marked him as "low-value, low-potential." "The team said, 'He's too entrepreneurial.'" "I talked to Ian. He said, 'They're doing dumb ideas.'" " So I plucked him out early, much earlier than I would normally, and made him my tech assistant."
.@ajassy started as @JeffBezos' tech assistant. @markpinc on how Bezos used that role to shape his next CEO: "He said, 'If this was the 1600s and I was the King of Spain—I'm handing a chest of gold and silver to this captain. They're going to go off and explore the world for a year, and I believe they're going to come back with a ship intact and more bounty than the gold I gave them.'" "You give them projects and let them go deep on them. What happened at Amazon is Bezos ended up telling Andy Jassy to go off and do Alexa." "After this tour of duty as a tech assistant, they're actually trained to be a mini CEO like you of a project." "What you're really doing is transferring your vampire blood." — @markpinc

BREAKING: Mark Pincus (@markpinc) on How to Build Billion-Dollar Products "Your # 1 job as a founder is to be right." "F*ck scale." "Don't be a fake CEO." Mark founded Zynga in 2007, grew FarmVille Words With Friends to 1B users in 4 years, & sold the company to Take-Two for $12.7B. Before that he was an early investor in Facebook & Twitter. Across 10 companies, he's spent 30 years learning how to build products people love. Now he's put it into "Life at the Speed of Play," aka the "Product Maker Bible" His goal: something you can reread in 10 years & still use, the way he rereads Peter Thiel's Zero to One. We went deep on the framework: - Your product instinct is right ~95% of the time, but your specific idea is wrong at least 75% of the time. The whole job is separating the two & k*lling your B idea to find the A. - Proven Better New: copy what already works, make it objectively better, then add one new bet. - 40,000 games launched in the App Store last year. 0% held a top 25 spot. Why products win on day 365 retention, not virality.. lessons from @nikitabier & more - Why he's an AI maximalist who still calls consumer AI un-investable, & thinks today's $2-5T companies become $10-20T companies. Great to discuss Apex’s big week w/ @IanCinnamon and the paradigm shift around investing in space spurred by $SPCX: “We’re just announcing our $200 million funding round. That is our third back-to-back $200 mil round over the last 14 months and every single one of those rounds we could have raised 4-to-5 times that amount, but have chosen to keep it down. “So I think that really just shows the power of not just what Apex is doing, but the knowledge that the investors and the market are starting to have to the capabilities that area really being unleashed.”
@IanCinnamon, Co Founder and CEO of Apex Space, says investor demand for space is accelerating as lower launch costs, defense spending and satellite proliferation drive growth across the industry. $SPCX $RKLB $LUNR $ASTS $PL $NOC $RTX $BA cnbc.com/video/2026/06/05/ap…

With another $200M fundraise complete, countless customers taking delivery of their buses, and 2 years of on orbit success, I could not be prouder of our team.

When @mxbenassi and I founded Apex 3.5 years ago, we set out to become the industry’s go-to satellite platform company. We couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come— but we’re just getting started. Now back to work. cnbc.com/video/2026/06/05/ap…

Today we're announcing another $200M in funding at a $2.3B valuation to continue scaling the foundational layer of next-generation constellations: the satellite platform. For most of space history, progress was measured in firsts: first satellite, first human in space, first Moon landing. Those milestones mattered. But the next era will be measured in rate: how fast countries and companies can deploy new capability, replenish what is lost, refresh technology, and expand the infrastructure they depend on. To make that future real, the world needs constellations: many satellites working together as systems. That requires two industrial capabilities: frequent launch and rapidly manufactured satellite platforms. Apex exists to remove the satellite production bottleneck and unlock capabilities beyond what Earthbound systems alone can achieve. The strategy is simple, but difficult: own the world’s satellite platform category. Learn how this latest raise helps Apex make that a reality: apexspace.com/blog/apex-anno…

Apex is proud to partner with @northropgrumman on the space-based interceptor (SBI) program as part of the @USSpaceForce’s historic drive to make SBIs a reality by the end of the decade. “Apex was founded specifically to support proliferated constellations like Golden Dome, which will require satellites en masse to create a decisive defensive advantage for our nation. This partnership will enable operational, constellation-scale space-based missile defense and allow us to rapidly support an urgent need.” – @IanCinnamon, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Apex. Apex is committed to delivering at the speed and scale required to make Golden Dome a reality. With our productized satellite platforms already in serial production and a proven track record of rapid delivery, Apex stands ready to support this transformational mission and ensure the United States maintains its strategic advantage in space.
