Been at @CoinflowLabs for a little over a month now. Some reflections: 1. Building with AI is genuinely game-changing. After a team volleyball game last Thursday, we were dogfooding our product and opened some boxes on IcyBox. I noticed our receipts weren't rendering as optimally as they should — they hadn't been given an updated UI/UX treatment. Within 24 hours, I — a non-engineer and non-designer — was able to redesign a feature that touches our entire product, using our design system, and get it to PR. That sort of speed is going to be the operational standard soon, because that's what AI allows us to do. The gap between noticing something broken and shipping the fix went from "put it in the sprint backlog" to "done before the next standup." 2. A team that genuinely cares makes everything more fun. We have team members across the board dogfooding our merchants and truly integrating with what we're building. When people actually use the product — not because they're told to, but because they want to — the feedback loop is immediate and honest. That's rare, and it changes how fast you iterate. 3. Innovation, speed, quality — you actually can have all three now. The old startup cliché says pick two. Ship an MVP real fast but it's half-baked. Build something super innovative but you're spending months on it. We've entered an era where you can truly build new, innovative things quickly with a high bar of quality. My team is averaging a new internal tool each week at enterprise grade that is removing hours of manual work per tool. These tools are equal in feature richness to what would have taken years to build previously. I've seen a lot of posts about the era of PMs and engineers being gone with AI because everyone can build now. That's what excites me — everyone can build now.
