🚨AIRCREW LOCATES DOWNED AIRCRAFT, RESCUE ALL ON BOARD! Last week, a Yuma Air Branch AS-350 aircrew responded to an aircraft in distress near Yuma, AZ. After the aircraft reported engine trouble and lost radar contact, AMO launched a helicopter and located the downed plane on a dirt road within minutes in the North Dome Valley. Upon arrival and landing, Air Interdiction Agents and a Border Patrol agent from the Yuma Sector Border Patrol Tactical Unit assisted all three occupants, who were ambulatory and in good health. The aircrew coordinated with Yuma County Sheriff’s Office and Tri-Valley EMS, guiding responders through complex farm fields and irrigation networks to the scene. This incident highlights AMO and Border Patrol’s unwavering commitment to preserving life and supporting our communities. 🇺🇸

Yesterday, Deputy Commissioner Ron Vitiello joined @dhsgov Deputy Secretary Troy Edgar and USBP’s Jason E. Schneider in Brownsville, TX to see firsthand the transformation at the southern border. New surveillance technology, maritime barriers, and reinforced border wall infrastructure are strengthening security—but the greatest asset remains our workforce. Thanks to their dedication, illegal apprehensions in the Brownsville region are down 99% from just two years ago.

The San Diego Air and Marine Branch successfully supported the historic inaugural NASCAR race at Naval Base Coronado, San Diego, over the weekend. Air and Marine Operations teams deployed advanced A-Star and UH60 helicopters with real-time surveillance technology to provide air security and overwatch for the NASCAR Cup Series Anduril 250. On the water, AMO vessels ensured robust maritime security around the base. Their efforts helped keep race participants, fans, and military personnel safe throughout this landmark event. Great work SDAMB. #NASCAR
