Can’t wait to see which one of us is right ME OR MLID😏 cuz there no way Sony woould / AMD HURT ZEN6/ps6 by putting it on 3nm and not 2nm when they should be going everything they could to stay competitive with rtx60 coming. Early leak/guess vs Confirmation
June ’25 short: I leaked PS6 on 2nm node, 24-32GB GDDR7, RTX 4090 level (RT TBD pre-AMD). MLID confirmed hardware: RDNA 5 54 CUs, ~40 TFLOPS—3x raster over base PS5 (around double PS5 Pro), 6-12x RT, Zen 6 CPU. Equals RTX 5070 Ti/5080 in 4K now (maybe 5090 RT ).
Launch & Upscaling
PSSR 3 at launch—AI upscaling crushes 4K. Later PSSR 4 dev tweaks (dynamic res, better shaders) push it beyond its weight—like PS5 started as RTX 2080/3060 equiv (DF 2019), now RE Requiem compares to 3070 on base hardware. Ps6 Optimizations age it into mid RTX 60-series competition.
Display & FPS
MLID’s ‘4K120’ too safe—HDMI 2.2 96Gbps doubles bandwidth: uncompressed 4K 240Hz/8K 60Hz, DSC for 4K 480Hz/8K 240Hz/16K 60Hz. Sony INZONE M10S does 480Hz at 1440p—PS6 could hit 4K 165-240 fps (game depending ) or 8K 90-120 upscaled. Launch 2027.
Like people don't understand this console is gonna push above its weight, you got pc builds out there who have an Intel I 13900K with 4090 build. And Ps6 is going to embarrass it. With price and performance.
