Excited to join the team at @UseCorgi as an underwriter in the London office! Corgi will be the next large insurance carrier, and really impressed by the talent density at the company!

This is so so true
if a founder's cracked, they'll be on x. it's quasi deterministic.

I interviewed @arishs24 at the @fdotinc demo day in May! He's building @amano_labs, producing the world's first affordable ($20) hearing aid! He is incredibly young and pursuing such a difficult and meaningful mission! He is going to change the world and create the next generation of medical devices that are accessible to all

Me and my friend @ben_j0urnal interviewed @adilmania at the @fdotinc demo day, who's building @siliconmania! Adil is building a new media company, one that is excited about new technology and is optimistic! He has a very unique artistic angle and his weekly recaps are very funny! Would highly recommend people to check him out if you haven't already

Throughout history there's been time periods where people from across the world clustered in one area to work with like-minded individuals and to make large bursts of progress in the arts and sciences. These brief time periods are called revolutions. There have been a few revolutions throughout history: The Renaissance, Scientific Revolution, Industrial Revolution, Internet Revolution. Each of these revolutions changed the world in a way that was unimaginable to its citizens, and resulted in exponentially greater abundance for everyone. We are in the middle of the largest, most significant Revolution of human history, and it's taking place in a small 7 by 7 mile grid called SF. It's something we can easily take for granted, but I think it's important to really be mindful of this by working on the most ambitious problems you can, because any single individual now has the potential to shape the future of technology, and therefore humanity

When I graduated last year I had no idea how I would make my dream of working in startups into reality. I had wanted to work in startups since I was a kid and its all I ever talked about in high school and college. I grew up in Ohio, and had never even met a single startup founder in my entire life. No one around me was interested in startups, and I felt crazy for even having this ambition. I wanted to push myself to be greater, to surround myself with other ambitious people, and to take risks and work on things that had immense upside. None of the traditional paths accessible to me in Ohio appealed much to me. 3 months ago, I moved to SF with ZERO connections. I had to push myself outside my comfort zone and take risks to get results. I talked to every person at every event, and pushed myself to work on interesting side projects. I am so glad I took that chance, and looking back on my life so far, the only true mistake I've ever made is not taking enough risks. I never would have imagined one year ago that my life would've changed so drastically so fast, and that I'd be so happy and that I'd get to be part of the startup world
