When a party tables a debate in the Senedd, that party's speakers are typically given priority. This didn't happen last week though. Reform's
@joemartin1066, whose previous speech on wasteful spending prompted an immature walkout by Plaid politicians, was not called to speak in the Nation of Sanctuary debate. This is highly unusual. The debate was, after all, tabled by Reform.
The decision not to call Martin was taken by Presiding Officer Huw Irranca-Davies. Irranca-Davies was, you'll recall, appointed in a Plaid-Labour stitch up. He also told Martin to "reflect" on the remarks he made that Plaid disliked.
Irranca-Davies should be forced to explain.
