Something is not adding up if Tesla’s Vice President Grace Tao said Tesla Optimus will officially enter large-scale mass production by the end of 2026, with the Fremont factory targeting a long-term annual capacity of 1 million units.
Below was a post I did a few days ago and Elon responded by saying “No, Optimus production will be extremely slow at first, as everything is new. This is not like making a car.” 🤔

Whatever happened to Tesla’s Optimus V3 demo? My theory.
Elon said that they stopped doing a lot of demos because the competition would simply copy what Tesla was doing after each showing.
My theory is that Tesla engineers realized that they were further ahead on production than they forecasted. In @herbertong’s interview of Lars, Lars said that production of Optimus is ahead of schedule.
I predict that whenever Tesla presents the V3 demo, it is going to have impressive capabilities, the actuators will stand the test of time, AND they will announce that production has already began on a meaningful level.
The competition will not have time to react.
Don’t be surprised if the demo showcases many Optimi on stage. Many.

If you're interested in the factory process, then no; but if you're just going to use the blueprints, it's somewhat irrelevant.
But my point isn't that it had a tutorial, but rather the execution of it and how it was proposed.

US contractors aren't set up for production, they are set up for profits. Building a factory with massive capacity over short time a la WW2 just doesn't work for a company looking to earn steady profits.
