Nice! This is the bigger picture for $ASTS. Satellite connectivity is no longer a separate industry sitting next to telecom. It is becoming another layer of the mobile network. Orange Eutelsat are extending broadband into underserved areas. Safaricom AST SpaceMobile could go one step further: turning space into an extension of the cellular network itself. No new tower. No specialized satellite phone. Potentially just the device already in your pocket. Africa may become one of the strongest real-world use cases for direct-to-device connectivity.

$ASTS I had a vacation in Monterey, California over the 4th of July holiday. When I was on the 17 Mile Drive Tour, an iconic toll road spanning along the Monterey Peninsula, my cellular Internet connection was spotty and sometimes disconnected. This is not a remote area but any means. There are golf courses right next to some part of the road. I can imagine those golfers would be seamlessly connected without noticing it if AST is able to offer coverage via its partners. International tourists may be happy to pay for a day pass as well. I can see real life use case for the complimentary coverage here.
