SIAM can be arm twisted to say whatever the Govt wants them to say. Always follow the money.
Sadly, social media is currently the only mechanism for the man on the street to be heard, and noticed.
Please check what the Odisha petroleum dealer associations president has said. He's said that E20 is causing problems, and irate customers are targeting fuel retailers.
Also, when SIAM clearly said that E10 fuel be made available for those who need it, Govt has to comply.
They cannot force the wrong grade of fuel on vehicle owners. It's plain wrong, no matter what the justification is.
Bottomline: If E20 petrol can be safely used on E10 and older vehicles, why the have E20 compliance in the first place?
