"A teenager turns down Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA and Michigan to take graduate-level coursework as a college freshman at Berkeley, and the response from the people paying him millions isn’t excitement. It’s suspicion. That was never a scouting report. That was a diagnosis. And the disease was intelligence." thegrio.com/2026/07/04/opini… | @theGrio

Tras el 1er pick, el White Sox roza el techo con Roch Cholowsky (SS, UCLA). Dados los equipos, el plan apunta a jóvenes talentos con salto rápido a MLB. ¿Será este el año de los pitchers en el top 5? #MLBDraft2026 ift.tt/zG1JomB

That’s what I always tell students—you need to own your Judaism. Not just as your heritage, but something you have your own relationship with. It needs to be something to explore in depth in order to truly take ownership of your identity.” -Rabbi Dovid Gurevich UCLA

I had a law degree and a practice. Becoming a Chabad representative wasn’t the obvious next step. But when an opportunity at UCLA opened up, it felt like something we couldn’t pass on. For a year and a half I essentially had two full-time jobs—the legal work and the Chabad work—it was hard to find a balance. Someone advised me to choose only one between the two, so I can be fully invested in one. A couple of weeks later, I was laid off from the legal job—so the decision was made for me. That was May 2006. The relationships you build over twenty years are unlike anything else. I’ve officiated weddings, I get calls about career and relationship decisions… life. You can’t graduate from family.

American football used to frequently have 0-0 ties, like in 1939 103,000 at the L.A. Coliseum saw 8-0-2 USC and 6-0-4 UCLA (the first integrated team dominated by black stars -- Jackie Robinson, Kenny Washington, and Woody Strode) tie 0-0.
