Everyone is explaining the technical reason for the red card (correct call). Cleats (bottom studs on shoes) are exposed and slams the leg of the Mexican player. The reason this is a red card is that it is VERY dangerous. He could break a person's leg and/or cause serious injury. Ppl who don't play soccer do not understand what it feels like to get hit with cleats exposed at high speed.
