One of the most emotional moments following the powerful earthquakes in Venezuela involved Tsunami, a rescue dog who was seen receiving intravenous fluids after spending several consecutive days working through the rubble. Exhausted, he was treated by the rescue team shortly after completing another mission to search for survivors.
Before becoming one of the countryโs leading rescue dogs, Tsunami was a victim of abuse and abandonment. After being rescued, he underwent years of training and eventually earned international certification to take part in search-and-rescue operations in disaster-hit areas.
During the earthquakes in Venezuela, Tsunami helped locate around 13 people alive beneath the rubble. The treatment shown in the video marked the end of his fieldwork and the beginning of his retirement, closing a remarkable journey dedicated to saving lives.
