Student Karim Abu Saeed - Student from Sweida Receives International Recognition
Seventeen-year-old student Karim Abu Saeed from Sweida has won a bronze medal at the International Scientific Physics Olympiad (ISPhO 2026). He also received the National Diamond Award.
The International Scientific Physics Olympiad (ISPhO) is one of the world’s leading physics competitions, bringing together outstanding students from across the globe to compete in advanced theoretical and practical physics examinations.
Karim Abu Saeed is a student at the First School for Outstanding Students Sweida. Throughout his academic journey, he has achieved several notable accomplishments, including winning the gold medal in the Scientific Olympiad in Physics while in the tenth grade, which qualified him to join the national team.
Last year, he represented the global team in France, where he received a certificate of appreciation. Earlier this year, he earned a bronze medal in the Kazan International Physics Competition, which was held remotely. For the second consecutive year, he has also been selected to join the international team that will compete in the upcoming competitions in Colombia.
