🤯A rogue elephant stalked the same family in Nepal for 14 years — and killed four of its members According to The Kathmandu Post, in December 2012 a notorious wild male elephant called Dhurbe trampled to death the parents of Nepalese resident Shanichara Bote (Budhiram Bote and Jharali Bote) in the Madi area near Chitwan National Park. After the tragedy, the family sold their home and relocated across the Reu and Rapti rivers to Jagatpur, hoping to escape the animal. Years later, on the night of July 5, 2026, the same elephant tracked them down and killed Shanichara’s daughter-in-law, Ashika Bote (25), and his four-year-old grandson, Bharat Bote, by breaking into their home in Jagatpur. Park officials report that Dhurbe has been directly responsible for at least 25 human deaths since around 2010. Locals consider him one of the most dangerous rogue elephants in the region’s history.
