"...avoiding ideological gatekeeping, extending fellowship before demanding perfect agreement, distinguishing core doctrine from culture or political identity, allowing people to grow in faith at different rates." Those are pretty broad, any examples? The Church has been preaching these ad nauseam for the past 10 years. Also, those are all mostly what people think, believe or assert -- not the actions they take in life.

Listen, I have 9 kids. Two of them have succumbed to the rainbow coalition. I love them to death. I'm their father, I will do nothing less.
But their leaders and extended family members (their aunts and female relatives in particular) continually affirm their "identities." How I wish some church leader would have stepped forward to lay it down for them. I know EXACTLY the devious forces that have been unleashed on this generation. I can only decry these influences cautiously in my replies these days, for fear of upsetting the whole family.
The women of the church need to help quickly before our young sisters totally devolve away from the church.
