🚨 House Administration Chairman @RepBryanSteil just grilled Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon on Minnesota’s driver’s license and voting laws. STEIL: “Does Minnesota issue driver’s licenses to illegal aliens?” SIMON: Yes. STEIL: “Does the license distinguish whether someone is a citizen?” SIMON: No. Rep. Bryan Steil then pointed out that Minnesota allows same-day voter registration. So an illegal alien could show up to vote using a license that does not indicate whether they are legally eligible. Ouch.

Intent doesn’t override consequences for Texas. As originally written, SB 854 would have opened the door to “empower mosques” (in the bill summary) to develop housing while undermining the ability of local communities to stop it. In the fight for our way of life details matter. You need an AG that knows that.
